--Jane Austen, Pride & Prejudice Like the host of other people, Mr. Darcy remains one of my favorite literary characters. While I could never quite envision Colin Firth as Darcy, I do feel that Matthew Macfadyen did him justice. For those of you unfamiliar with the plot and characters, I highly recommend reading Pride & Prejudice. Naturally, the language and behavior is quite a shift from today, but there is good reason why the book is widely considered the most romantic story of all time. Various pencils, blending stump, itty-bitty low res reference pic that began to make my eyes bleed... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE: If you like this, please take a look at a much newer Darcy work of mine [link] . I think it is the superior piece of fan art, but I'll let you decide.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
