Haven't done one of these in a long while. Here I go. A lot's changed. Before I considered drawing a necessary hobby, but having been so dismayed with my career path, I've decided to switch gears and pursue what I wish I'd done all along—art. I'm not talented enough to be an illustrator yet, but I'm working on it and taking a few classes on the side to fill in some gaps. With some regret, I must admit that I won't be straying into the world of traditional art for some time. What's your top 5 favorite pieces in your gallery? Why? I know this can be redundant with the new gallery setups and what not, but we all need a motivation boost sometimes. This has been bothering me for a while…so I’m just going to go ahead and say it. Compared to the last few years, my work has not been all that well received this year. Why? I know I made a rather abrupt switch to digital art (there will be pencil art in the future, I promise), but there are several reasons for that. 1) My tablet cost a lot of $$$…I need to justify the cost. 2) Working with color! 3) I can’t afford paints, painting supplies or fancy colored pencils (especially after buying a tablet). 4) I doubt I can find an art-related career in the future knowing only traditional media. I pride myself on walking t
